my father - who has glaucoma was just prescribed Zioptan. his insurance does not cover it saying that their are other drugs with the same efficacy. the eye dr says this is unique and it is important for him to add this to his regimen. is zioptan different?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your father is having glaucoma and is prescribed with Zioptan to treat glaucoma. It is anti-glaucoma drug which belongs to the subgroup of prostaglandin analogues. You can use other drugs which belong to this group like latanoprost.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for prescription of alternative drugs accordingly.
Hope this is helpful to you.
Thank you With regards
