Will Laser Treatment Reduce Freckles On My Face?

Hey i am 20 yrs old girl ...i Have freckles on my face...doctors prescribed me to apply demelan cream twice a day and lomela in the night...along with dermocalm lotion as sunscreen lotion..The doctor has prescribed me for laser treatment after usage of these cream for 1 month...Is it correct choice for going for laser and does lomela have any side effects like freckles will be get darker if i ll stop using it??please suggest me what should i do...is it a correct treatment?i have started 7 days back only...
