Within Past Hour Everything I Hear Out Of My Left

Within past hour everything I hear out of my left ear is a high-pitched tinny sound (like metal on metal or a triangle musical instrument) it is very loud and uncomfortable. No ringing in ear and only in one ear. One item to note, my other ear has had wax build up and I've been using debrox to remove. However, the ear with the wax sounds fine.
