Worried For Black Spot Under The Skin On The Bottom Of Heel

My daughter has a small very black spot under the skin on the bottom of her heel. I picked at it and it's not something that will just come out. It's very strange. Should I be worried? She is 14 and average height, weight and no medical problems. She did just start track a few weeks ago.
