Would Metamucil Help To Stop Diarrhea?

I have colitis. I have diarrhea every day several times. I also take blood thinner for atrial fib. Would Metamucil help stop the diarrhea? I need something to stop it as I am weak every day and can't really go anyplace because of it. This started when I was taking Nexium.
