Would Prolonged Bleeding After Taking Postinor-2, Which Stopped With Birth Control Resume If I Discontinue Birth Control Pills?

Hi,I was 22 at the time and I took postinor 2 and started bleeding for almost two months with a heavy flow and huge clots.Mr doctor placed me on birth control,which stopped the bleeding but now I want to stop taking the pill .It’s been a year and my GP said it could continue.Any advice,please?
