Would The Nasal Pus Need Further Surgery To Drain?

after having open rhinoplasty one side of the end of my nose is red at the tip and every few days a yellow green mucus comes out of my Nostril, after 5 onths of antibiotics and salt water washes and still not cleared up. my consultant says after taking swabs shows a bacterial growth, will i need surgery to drain pus out?
