Xray Shows No Fracture, But Ribs Seem To Move Around

Xray shows no fracture, but ribs seem to move around a tiny bit--or grate on each other--and I am wondering whether there is a difference between bruised ribs and dislocated ribs (all owing to a fall).
It has been 1.5 weeks and they still hurt a lot. Any treatment besides waiting? I know I cannot use compression because of fear of pnenomia. Seems strange to feel them "pop" a little, even though no
pain.
