Yes. My son had shoulder surgery wednesday. He had a cough prior to surgery, but no fever. During surgery, he was tachycardic (90's to 115) and BP was elevated SBP 150s, DBP 80s-90s. Both remained elevated during recovery for about two hours. Congestion persisted. On Monday I took him to the doctor as his BP was elevated again over the weekend. He was diagnosed with LLL pneumonia and placed on amoxicillin. The physician drew several labs including TFTs. My question is: Is it likely the pneumonia caused the tachycardia and elevated BP. An EKG was also done, but no results yet.
