Yesterday I Fell And Scratched My Knee. I Cleaned The

Yesterday I fell and scratched my knee. I cleaned the scratch and covered it with a bandaid after taking a shower and washing the area with soap. Today when I removed the bandaid I saw there was blood and white gooey substance on the scratch. Does this mean my scratch is infected or is it just from being covered and not getting air to the area?
