Yesterday I had an episode that began with a feeling of tiredness. It was the end of the day, so not that unusual. Shortly after starting the drive home, I began to feel very odd, with some upset stomach - I hadn't had supper yet, so empty stomach, but I did eat a good lunch. The radio and the open windows began to annoy me (very unusual). When I turned the radio off and rolled the windows up, I could hear a loud roaring in my head.
I pulled over when my vision became tunneled, with fractured looking undulating lines all around my field of vision. I began to sweat profusely and felt very hot. Turned the ac on full force.
My skin felt as if it were crawling.
After about ten minutes I felt just well enough to drive the rest of the way home, but still feeling very off, with colors very bright (not painful, just extraordinarily vivid), roaring in my ear, etc.
When I pulled onto my street, I began to feel nauseated, and barely got pulled over before ... bleach.
I was hydrated, and didn't have any "one sided" symptoms. I had to get my husband to help me out of the car, and I struggled to dial the phone, and finally honked the horn. I went home, had some toast and tea and went to bed.
Today I am feeling fragile, and tired, but no repeat of the above.
I have made an appointment with the NP at my primary care provider's office.
