Yesterday, My Wife Experienced Double Vision, Was Disoriented, Could Not

Yesterday, my wife experienced double vision, was disoriented, could not remember what day it was or that we had spoken during the day. She is 59, 110 lbs, 5'3", and generally in good health. She experiences hot flashes. I took her to the emergency room where a cat scan, blood work, vitals, and keg were conducted. The tests were negative and she was released the recommendations she consult her family doctor.

Any thought s as to a cause ?
