A Good Friend Of Mine Has Had Itching For A

a good friend of mine has had itching for a couple of years on her arms, legs, stomach area. she was recently put on oral medication for high blood sugar. hers was 183. could the itching be connected to pre-diabetic issues? i am worried she will think taking a pill will handle everything and continue to eat too much sugar. she does have a sweet tooth. she's 71.
