Approx. 5 Years Ago I Had Crackling And Popping In

approx. 5 years ago I had crackling and popping in my left ear after a flight from South Dakota to Atlanta. Ended up having an ENT put a tube in my ear, the tube came out after time and everything seemed ok. I was told by my general practitioner that my ear drum was "wavy" and probably needed to be addressed by an ENT again. I didn't do anything about it at that point but now for several weeks that ear has been had the sensation - constantly except when I lay down - of needing to be popped, like after a flight. To pop the ear I move my jaw and I have always suspected I have TMJ. Sounds crazy. Suggestions?
