Broke Left Hip Be Two Years Coming Feb. Fell On

broke left hip be two years coming feb. fell on ice, age 72, weight 208,ht 6ft do have lung cancer, was getting long good up until 2 weeks ago ,now can't walk with out cane, left leg hurts a lot , have rod goes almost to knee also hang nail I did not hurt hip or leg any idea whats going on ? I am very active every day at something yard, garden small farm cattle.
