For The Last 2 Months I Have Had High Platelets

for the last 2 months I have had high platelets 515,610 & 555 I was put on ferrous sulfate because my hemoglobin was 10 after 2 weeks of ferrous sulfate my new labs are rbc 5.24, mcv 73.3 and mchc is 31.3 hemoglobin 12 and platelets are 555. I was referred to hematologist and I am scared. I also have heavy periods
