Hello, I Am About To Go On A Vacation And

hello, I am about to go on a vacation and my whole family has a cold in the house. I have a full prescription of clindamycin 150 mg. if I were to start getting sick on vacation could I take this to treat a common cold ( there symptoms are congestion, coughing, drainage, chest congestion)? please let me know.
