Hello. I Had A Miscarriage 3 Weeks Ago But Now

I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago but now I have a discharge that is heavy, the discharge is redish in color and is very thick. I am also experiencing sharp pains on the anus, as though something is being pulled out, these pains come and go. is this normal? what can i do to stop them?
