Hello. I Have Had A Recent Neck Xray That Showed

hello.
I have had a recent neck xray that showed an ''incidental finding'...... ''of an unusually large and dense calcification on my thyroid cartlige....i have been sent for a ''calcium'' blood test to check my levels....and also thyroid test.... the results are not back yet, but prior to arranging them my dr said this is probably ''my normal''......I am a little concerned and wonder if i should ask him for a CT scan to rule out anything sinister that may or may not be going on.
