Hello I Had A Slipped Disc In 1997 In 2004

hello i had a slipped disc in 1997 in 2004 i had a chronic sciatica attack last december i thought id pulled a muscle in my inner thigh went to the doctors they diagnosed hip problem xrays came back empty though my doctor spotted something in my records he wants me to go in for an injection can you tell me what he may have found ? many thanks
