Hello I Have Received A RX For Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream

hello i have received a RX for Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP, 0.1% and the instructions are 2-3 times a day and was wondering if a day ment in a 24 hour period or just the hours of the day i am awake, i don't want to use it in to close of increments and have any issues caused by using it to close together, also what would you recommend for an over the counter lotion/cream i can use in between doses it was given to me for an eczema patch the size of two quarters on the back of my hand and is very uncomfortable itches and hurts.
