Hello. I Was Clearing Some Blackberries Earlier And Was Stuck

hello. i was clearing some blackberries earlier and was stuck by a thorn pretty solidly on my 'pinky' finger (smallest digit) near the joint nearest my palm. it hurt immediately and i pulled out the thorn, but it did not all come and continued to hurt. i could see more splinter through my skin and was able to squeeze and use tweezers to grab it and remove. i did fail to examine it to confirm that i had removed all of it. now 8 hours later it still hurts worse and hurts to move that joint at all. only moving the joint where the thorn stabbed me hurts, the tip of the finger is not sensitive at all. it may well have gone all the way to the bone, i have skinny fingers.

1. can simply sustaining a thorn injury cause such pain and inflammation or can this only be from a remaining thorn remnant?

2. do blackberry thorns have the potential to carry any infectious agents and would they act so quickly?
