Hello, I Was Prescribed The Medication Trazodone 100 MG By

hello, i was prescribed the medication Trazodone 100 MG by my primary care physician. i had mentioned that i had issues sleeping and anxiety. He gave me a test, a bi-polar test. when i explained to him that i didnt think bi-polar was my issue he said that there are two different types.. #1. the manic ups and downs and #2. a milder version; which he believed i have. He was very nice, thorough and spent almost an hour with home.
i honestly thought the medication he was prescribing was for sleep only as he suggested to take this at night before i go to bed, but i decided to look up the side effects of the pill and its classified as an anti anxiety med. How long will this take to "kick in" and is it also used for sleep?? any assistance you can offer would be helpful
