Hello Sir,my Dad Is Diagnosed With Sclerosing Panniculitis.he Is Currently

hello sir,my dad is diagnosed with sclerosing panniculitis.he is currently on pentoxyfilline and dexamethasone 4 mg.he is a known diabetic and hypertensive and is on amlodipine and metformin.i just want to know if steroids have to be taken life long or is there any other treatment.because when he is on steroids,he won't have any pain or inflammation,but when the steroids are tapered he develops pain in both the legs.please do the needful sir
