Hi! I Have Been Using A Copper Type Of IUD

hi! I have been using a copper type of IUD non -hormonal birth control for 16years. Is it okay to use hormonal pill like Diane 35 along with it?
I just started Diane 35 on my first day of period and my menstruation period seems more extended rather than before like IUD alone taking 7-8 days. With Diane pills ive been in my 13days of period. Is it cause of my hormone adjusting on pills?
Please advise if I need or not to continue this hormonal pills. thank you!
