Hi I Kissed An A Herpes Simplex Infected Last Night.

I kissed an a herpes simplex infected last night. It was not a very deep kis, just a very simple not involving tongue or inside mouth. I am very very concerned whther it was already transferred to me?
I can see some very minor blister type thing on my lip and nothing else so far.
Please tell me the very early signs for herpes and tell me what i have to do to avoid getting infected if i am arleady not.
