Hi I Was Playing Volleyball Last Night For The First

hi I was playing volleyball last night for the first time in years and a hard served ball came right at me and I tried to stop is by setting it up but it hit my middle finger and it hurt but I shook it off and kept playing, I woke up in the middle of the night with a swollen red finger and it is hard to touch and I can bend a little but it hurts if I try to bend like normal, without spending $100's of dollars on xrays is there a way to treat it regardless if I broke, sprained or just jammed it but the swelling has not went down and I iced it a couple of times at work for long period of time..
