Hi. I Was Recently Called Back About Testing Positive For

hi. I was recently called back about testing positive for Ureaplasma infection. They have yet to order my antibiotics since she is on vacation (till next week) and I wasn't showing any symptoms till about the end of June. I was itching, burning, had discharge and intermittent odor. I scheduled a gyno appt asap but the soonest they could get me in was last week. My recent partner says he has NO symptoms, but went to get tested this morning. I was negative for all other tests, but have a yeast infection. My question is, since I was not showing ANY symptoms whatsoever till I was sexually active with him, was he the carrier? And can a male be a carrier of it and test "negative"? Also, since I will be doing a round of antibiotics for it, doesn't he need to be as well to be safe?
