Hi Im Currently On My 36 Day In My Cycle

hi Im currently on my 36 day in my cycle and still no period. I took a veryquick pregnancy test last night and shows negative but im wondering why my period has been delay so much... my average cycle is 29...should i wait? or try a different pregnancy test?
