Hi I'm Newly Prescribed To Percocet. And I Was Told

hi I'm newly prescribed to Percocet. and I was told by a cardiologist about three years ago that I had a heart murmur, but it was nothing to worry about. but I was just wondering if I take Percocet will it affect my heart at all do you think? I was prescribed a pretty high dosage so I wanted to make sure.
