Hi, My Mom Has Been Taking An OTC Sleep Aid

My mom has been taking an OTC sleep aid everyday for about 25 years. she has been experiencing flashes or auras in her line of vision and has had a seizure all in the last couple of years. Now she is on seizure medication. She does not think that this has anything to do with the sleep aid, but i do. Should i be worried? She is 85 years old.
