hi dr. my name is olivia. iam 45 years old. iam suffering from pain in my left side leg. before the pain is located at the above ankle until it goes up into my left leg. i went to a rheumatologist doctor an she gave me some medication like caltrate plus and pregabalin 75mg. it lessen the pain but when it cmes in late afternoon, the pain appears again but not too much. my doctor suggested me to undergo mri. and here is the findings. there is loss of the normal T2W bright signal ofL4-5 and L5-S1 intervertebrral disk narrowing of L5-S1 intervertebral disk space with subchondralsclerosis, marginal erosions and osteophytes noted anterior. moderatesize broad basedcentral, left paracentral and foraminal disk protrusion(0.7cm) with thecal sac indentation and moderate- severe left neuroforaminal narrowing compressing the exiting spinal nerve roots at L5-S1 level. diffused disk bulge at L4-5 levels (0.2cm) with thecal sac indentation noted, the lumar spine shows normal width of the bony spinal canal the rest of the intervertebraldisk spaces are normal height and the disks do not project. beyond the posterior surface of the vertebral bodies. straightening of the lumbar lordosis due to muscle spasm. conus medullaries terminates normally at the L1 leve land divides into filaments. the dural tube appears normal in its lumbar portion. levoscoliosis of the lumbar spine with cobbs angle of 13 degrees. what does it means doctor? i feel nervous about this please help me doctor . thank you very much. from Philippines.
