Hi Had Flu A Few Weeks Ago And Still Have

hi had flu a few weeks ago and still have residual cough that brings up mucus. If I try to suppress the cough it really takes my breath away. Should I be concerned I have bronchitis or even something else ? Its not constant can actually go for hours without coughing but evening at bed time starts up
