Hi I Am Suma, I Am Not Having Period For

hi i am suma, i am not having period for 2months, i test the pregnency but it should be negative. yesterday i consult the doctor she adviced me take 10mg T.duphaston tablet 10 tablets for 5 days after completed tablet wait for one week. my question is this tablet suggeted for pregnency conformation or period. plz suggest me..... can i take this tablet or not......
