Hi I Have A Pain In My Rib Cage On

hi i have a pain in my rib cage on the left side directly underneath it and it hurts when i breath, it feels like it expands like a bubble and then pops and it just stops for a few minutes then starts up again and it repeats the process. Do you know what it is?
