Hi. I Have Acute Paronychia From A Hangbnail. My Finger

hi. i have acute paronychia from a hangbnail. my finger got red and a little swollen near my nail and is painful. i managed to cut the cuticle wuth a sterile cuticle cutting tool just enough to ve abld to squeeze yellowish pus out. i used rubbibg alcohol and neosporin before and after. the pain, swelling, and redness have all gone down quite a bit, bit it is still a little bit red, swollen, and tender.

my question is since i barely made an incision when i cut the cuticle (there was no blood at all, just the pus upon squeezing), how do i know if i got all the pus out and if i didn't, is it likely that the infection and symptoms will come back, or worse, possibly spread? i also have Epsom salt to soak with warm water. will that help at this stage of the game?
