Hi, I Have Cough That Suddenly Came On Last Wed,so

hi,
i have cough that suddenly came on last wed,so its been 6 days now. i have raspy voice, when i lie down, i feel thick liquid going down my throat, i have a headache around my forehead/ possible fever. i have no other symptoms, no congestion in my nose. on day 2 i coughed up some yellow phlegm and my cough was deep, but i now have a dry cough, thats choking. is this a viral or bacterial infection???
