Hi My 20yr Old Son Cut 2 Of The Tops

hi my 20yr old son cut 2 of the tops of his fingers deeply a few days ago, the hospital cleaned it and put steri strips on, its weeping and the strips are really dirty as they was cut on dirty metal pipe, what should I clean then with before I put new strips on, thanks
