Hi My 6 Year Old Has A Fever Of 40.4

hi my 6 year old has a fever of 40.4 and a heat, his eyes seem red and heavy. He started with a cough and runny nose. He is sleeping now so I thought I would have a look online and see how he is when he wakes up
I was just trying to find out what temperature is considered dangerous?
