Hi My Dad Had A Parotid Gland Removal Due To

hi my dad had a parotid gland removal due to a melanoma about three years ago. his pet scans have all turned out good until the last one. The doctor suggested he have an mri due to some "more activity". He had his MRI and just read me some of the results. I have not seen it first hand so I am sure I am not getting all the information, but this is what I did receive. There is an FDG uptake and hypo enhancing lesion 1.1 cm in the pituitary gland. Does this information mean anything at all?
