Hi My Daughter Is 3 Yrs 5 Months Old And

my daughter is 3 yrs 5 months old and from past 1 month she has cold and in between cough. when ever she eats any oily or cold item, she gets cough immediately. but cold is there from past 1 month. the doctor has suggested to give romilast (night 5 ml) for 2 weeks and asthalin whenever she has bad cold. but 2 days back she had oil stuff and she has very bad cough from that time. suring last visit to doc, she had suggested chericof during very very bad cough when none of the other medicines ar not working. she gave me this when i insisted. please let me know is it safe to give chericof or please suggest some other medicines which could be given during daytime (As opposed to romilast which to be given only in the night) for fast relief, yet safe.
