Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi my name is sangeeta and I am 30 years old with a height of 5 feet and weight of 68 kg. I have polio since the age of 2 in which my right leg is affected. I use my right hand as a support while walking with a contracture in my leg and have a limp. Nowadays, my back tends to pain if I do lots of walking or exert myself more. I have had 2 fractures with one being in my right ankle with hairline fracture and the other 2 to 3 years after in the same right leg with great toe fracture. I want to know if it would be safe for me to undergo surgery for my future betterment or else can you suggest any nonoperative methods so that I can apply on a day-to-day to improve my ability to walk and have a good life for future.
