Hi, My Scalp Has Been Really Itchy And Just Noticed

hi, my scalp has been really itchy and just noticed pimple like soars. I don't have lice and I wash my hair every other day. Never had anything like this before. I did some checking online and everything seems to go to flaky and dry. I don't see flakes though. If anything it seems more oily than usual.
I have just quit smoking 2 months ago.... any correlation or should I go see my doctor?
