Hi There I Keep Losing My Voice That Seems To

hi there I keep losing my voice that seems to be due to almost like hard parts of snot and rubbish building up in or on my vocal chords any ideas? sometimes I cough up these hard bits and voice returns for a while, im not in the best of shape at the moment slightly over weight and always very busy
