Hi There, In The Last Week I Have Ankle Swelling

hi there,
In the last week I have ankle swelling ...just on my left ankle. NO INJURY involved. I am on my feet at least 8 hrs. a day but this is normal for my profession. I have some pain w/swelling but can still walk pain seems to be getting worse thoughthe swelling is more apparent on the ankle but top of foot is affected also. I am 56 yrs old a female, smoker, casual drinker, have had my thyroid removed and am out of thyroid meds and have been for a few weeks waiting for my insurance to kick in from work not because of cost of dr. because no dr. in my town can see me until the end of next month being a new patient and they wont refill my prescription until labs are done...like its a NARCOTIC or something LOL....I had to go to ER for my last prescription which they did lab work prescribed my same dose Ive taken for years since thyroid was removed but would only give a 1 month prescription...RIDICULOUS. so I will attach a pic of my two ankles
