Hi, We Recently ( This Summer ) Moved From Wisconsin

hi, we recently ( this summer ) moved from Wisconsin to Georgia. in the last couple of months my 13 year old daughter has developed bites ( look like big bug bites) on her ankles, they itch like crazy and look terrible ( they don't seem to heal up.) applied Benadryl and it didn't seem to help. any suggestions on a possibility of what it might be and what else we can try, nobody else in the house has this.
