Hii.. I Have Some Dryness Around My Eyes Which Has

hii.. i have some dryness around my eyes which has not gone away even after applying moisturizer daily since a month. so i decided to consult a doctor about it. he advised me to use betnovate-gm.
the skin around my eyes becomes very dry and white round patches appear on the skin all around the eye.
can i apply the ointment around my eyes? does it have any side effects? please guide me if i should apply it and for how long and when?
