How Long Can Hep B Lay Dormant Can It Take

how long can hep b lay dormant can it take over a year to show up on test my latest blood test showed my liver enzymns going up and i tested positive for hep b my cancer dr. and pcp are gonna do more test but not sure how i could have got it if i have it. my last sex partner (which i played safe with) was over 2 years ago and the only time I have had needles or a chance of touching blood or being exposed to blood is when i had my right upper lobe of my lung removed (oct 2015) a medioscopy done in summer 2015 and a port put in, in dec so not sure why it is showing up so confused
