how much does smoking contribute to this: The lesion in the distal body of the pancreas on the
prior study appears enlarged, measuring 2.2 x 1.3 cm ( previously
1 x 0.9 cm ), which is heterogeneously hypointense on T1, mildly
hyperintense on T2, with a peripheral contrast enhancement, on
image 59 of series 1101. Proximal to this lesion, the pancreatic
head and body are enhanced normally with normal main pancreatic
duct. Distal to this lesion, the main duct is mildly dilated,
tortuous, with atrophy and mild persistent contrast enhancement
of the pancreatic parenchyma, which appears slightly more
prominent.
