I Am A 58yrs BF. I Have Been Taking Pravastin

i am a 58yrs BF. I have been taking Pravastin 40mg since 2013. I just recently stopped taking it (2 weeks now). My last total c was 151. in 2013 my total C was 247. I am starting to have headaches now. My BP is ok. I stopped because I am not at high risk for heart disease. My risk factor for heart disease is <2%. I should have stopped eating unhealthy back then but I did not. I have started a heart healthy diets and do not want to take Pravastin. I was informed that once I started taking the drug that I would always need to take it regardless of my life style changes.
